Compagna di stanza

Did I mention that I had my first actual conversation with my Italian roommate yesterday? And no kidding, she's from Puglia, where I spent the month of August. Gargano, to be exact. The spur of Italy's bootheel.

I was reminded of my extremely competitive nature when we played this game in class today and Fab, Barbara and I kicked ass. I could write it in Italian, but the girl typing next to me might be appalled.

We also had a meeting with our program's physician, who was hysterically funny in that offhand, unintentional way. Quotation to remember:

I love people that shock you in such a subtle way that you don't notice until your mouth is hanging open and you're nearly laughing on the floor.
